Associate Director / Director - Alliance Management

Enara Bio™ is a science-led company leveraging its proprietary discovery platforms to deliver targeted cancer immunotherapies designed to treat a broad patient population. Enara Bio is exploring the hidden depths of cancer and T-cell biology to discover and characterize novel, shared immunotherapy targets such as Dark Antigens™ and HLA-independent ligands. We are pioneering approaches to exploit these targets with a TCR-directed T-cell immunotherapy product pipeline.
Enara Bio was founded in 2016 and has been well funded to invest in the build out and growth of our R&D efforts and our fantastic team. The company is based in Oxford, UK. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our Corporate Development team and drive overall management of our external research collaborations across academia and industry. You will have a background in the life sciences, and be comfortable working at a high pace and with a high level of autonomy across a range of discovery and translational research projects in the immunotherapy space. In addition to being a key member of cross-functional research project teams, you will oversee and coordinate activities and seek advice from various business areas, including legal, corporate development, project management, admin, and finance. As a heavily externally facing role, you will be expected to work proactively with a range of different partners, representing our company and our culture with professionalism.
  • Drive the academic and commercial partnerships from a business perspective, ensuring clear delineation of responsibilities, efficient delivery on collaboration goals and integration of external activities into internal project team plans
  • Represent and communicate partner interests in internal forums and champion the internal resourcing of collaboration needs
  • Act as the lead internal contact with external collaborators, coordinating interractions (e.g. team meetings, JSCs) and aligning communication with project teams or senior leadership as needed
  • Coordinate contract drafting processes, working with internal/external counsel and third-party counterparts, and maintain oversight of contractual compliance (including intellectual property terms) for active collaborations
  • Lead interactions with prospective partnerss, ensuring development and compliance withfinancial and legal business terms
  • Proactively monitor and optimise relationship health, anticipating potential risks and facilitating appropriate mitigation
  • Manage partnership logistics, including transfer and management of confidential data and materials, publication arrangements and own the completion and tracking of keydocuments, such as meeting minutes and presentations
  • Degree in life sciences, immunology background preferred
  • Experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry as an active contributor to collaborative projects (specific project management, alliance management or business development role a plus), or background in an academic tech transfer role
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a highly cross-functional environment and lead through influence across all levels of an organisation
  • Exceptional communicator, ability to extract and synthesise detailed/technical information into big-picture strategy
  • Experience drafting, negotiating or managing key collaboration legal documents (CDAs, MTAs, Research Sponsorship Agreements etc)
